Today we opened an annex to the Darlington office at Enterprise House, Valley Street, Darlington to which 18 members of staff have transferred. This is to ease the pressure on accommodation at Bondgate and to create more interview rooms for clients. Clients will still be seen at the Bondgate office.

Lucy Shuttleworth, solicitor, joined us from * to assist our expanding criminal defence department. Lucy attends police stations in and out of work hours aswell as representing clients at the Magistrates Court for offences ranging from minor shop lifting to more serious offences such as rape.

The firm introduced a new digital dictation system from BigHand technology to improve the efficiency of our dictation process for our lawyers and allow some to work outside of the office or at home.

The firm introduced a new VOIP digital telephone system today, run by North East company Executel. The system has a front end automated response to improve accessibility and delay in routing calls.
