Community Care
Community Care law deals with the rights of people who are disabled,
ill or frail, and their carers, to the provision of local authority and
NHS services. We are able to help people obtain proper assessments for
a range of services including residential care, personal care, aids and
equipment, adaptations and respite care.
Key areas of Work:
- Assessments
- Discharge from hospital and aftercare
- Direct payments
- Charging Domiciliary care packages
- PCT care packages
- Referrals to complaints and Ombudsman Judicial Review proceedings.
Community care law is often bound up with other areas of law in
which our broad based legal aid practice offers including mental health
and housing.
