Frequently Asked Questions
How much will it cost me?
Our initial interview is always free and during this time we will assess whether you have a valid claim. We offer “NO WIN NO FEE” agreements in personal injury and medical negligence claims. In addition if you have insurance to cover the legal costs of pursuing an injury claim, we can conduct your claim with funding under the terms of your policy.
How long do I have to claim?
If you are over 18 years old you only have three years in which to pursue your personal injury or medical negligence claim. However it is far better to deal with the matter sooner rather than later: we recommend that you seek legal advice as soon as possible.
How long will my claim take?
It is very difficult to say how long any case will take as each person is different and recovers from their injuries differently. The length of time a case may take will also depend on whether the other side admits that the accident was their fault or not.
How much compensation will I get?
This is dependent on your particular circumstances. At Clark Willis Law Firm LLP each claim is dealt with individually as each case is unique. If the claim is successful you will receive damages for pain and suffering and also reimbursement for any out of pocket expenses you incurred due to the accident. These may include loss of earnings, care or physiotherapy expenses, travel and medication costs.
What shall I bring to an initial appointment?
It is often helpful if a note is made detailing as much information as possible including names, addresses and vehicle registration numbers. However this is not absolutely necessary and we can assist with site inspections, photographs and arrange for witness statements to be taken.
