
John Willis
Specialisms & Experience
John’s completed his academic legal training whilst working for the
local authority in Stockton on Tees which he joined directly from
school. Whilst doing so, he was a member of the English Universities
swimming team, and obtained half blue colours for Durham University in
swimming and water polo. Upon qualification, his career as a solicitor
was immediately put on hold whilst he completed his national service as
a Lieutenant with the Royal Marines Special Boat Squadron. On his
return to civilian life he commenced his career in local government,
becoming Town Clerk of the then Billingham Urban District
Council, before starting his own practice in 1966.
John has a huge depth of experience in virtually all matters of general
practice, being qualified as a solicitor for 53 years. Although no
longer actively practicing the law, he continues to give assistance to
the firm when called upon to do so with management issues.

1954 - Law Society Final Examinations – London Chancery Lane.
1955 - Solicitor of the Supreme Court.
