Specialisms & Experience
Following his training and having spent time as a Crown Prosecutor, Jonathan returned to private practice to undertake Personal Injury Litigation with a special interest in Medical Negligence and Pharmaceutical claims. He was admitted to the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and subsequently became one of their assessors.
Jonathan later developed an interest in Mental Health Law becoming an experienced Mental Health practitioner and gaining admission to the Law Society's Mental Health Panel. Progressing that interest, he was appointed as a Peer Reviewer in the Mental Health category and assisted in its further development.
In 2006 Jonathan took over the management of the practice spending time in developing the practice into one of the largest legal aid practices in the area and securing further Legal Services Commission's quality marks and the Law Society Lexcel Practice Management Standard.
Bringing his period of management to an end in mid 2010, Jonathan has returned to the practice of law in the civil litigation field dealing with all types of civil dispute. He retains and interest in the granting of legal aid and assessment of legal aid costs conducting reviews and appeals for the Legal Services Commission.
Jonathan retains his appointment as a deputy District Judge of the County Court and Judge of the Mental Health Tribunal.
