Matthew has a considerable experience in Welfare Benefits and Debt matters having managed Darlington Borough Council's Welfare Rights Service until August 2009. He also supervised the Citizen's Advice Bureau's Welfare Benefits contract with the Legal Services Commission.
Matthew is now responsible for the firm's Welfare Benefits and Debt work. He is able to assist with matters such as Housing Benefit overpayments and appeals, sickness and disability benefit appeals, and Judicial Review proceedings. Matthew undertakes work relating to both priority and non-priority debts, and personal insolvency. In addition, Matthew recently attained status as an Insolvency Service "Authorised Intermediary" so he can assist clients with debt problems apply for a Debt Relief Order.
