Elizabeth joined the firm in 2012 working primarily as a member of support staff within our criminal department. Elizabeth started her Training Contract in 2014 and qualified in 2016 as a Solicitor.
Elizabeth practices within Crime and Mental health in particular working on Court of Protection cases. Elizabeth often appears in local Magistrates' courts again with a varied case load, she has advised on matters varying from straight forward shop thefts to complex banking frauds and HMRC tax evasions.
Areas Of Interest
In 2013 she qualified as a Police Station representative undertaking her own varied case load and advising clients on an array of different offences. She found particular interest in cases of service discipline and advised in a number of service interviews both in the UK and abroad. In 2016 she undertook a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and is currently completing her Mental Health Accreditation Course.
Aside from her work within our criminal department Elizabeth found interest in advising vulnerable members of society both in terms of applications to the Court of Protection and those detained under the Mental Health Act. She has represented a range of clients both before Hospital Managers Hearings, Tribunals and within criminal proceedings. She prides herself in building up a rapport with clients of all disciplines and takes a special interest in cases involving clients with mental health concerns.
