Professional Background

Diane started her training contract with Clark Willis in 2009. She undertook seats in Housing, Civil Litigation and Welfare Benefits, before qualifying as a solicitor in February 2011.


Diane now specialises in Housing and Conveyancing. Diane manages the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme at Darlington County Court and is a Legal Aid Supervisor.

Areas Of Interest

Diane has experience of dealing with cases to do with possession, disrepair, anti-social behaviour and unlawful eviction from both a tenant and landlord perspective. Diane was involved with a high profile test case in the Court of Appeal in 2012 ( Cook-v-Mortgage Business [2012] EWCA Civ 17). Diane is a keen conveyancer specialising in purchases, sales, transfers, remortgages and right to buy purchases for both freehold and leasehold property.
