Professional Background

Diane started her training contract with Clark Willis in 2009. She undertook seats in Housing, Civil Litigation and Welfare Benefits, before qualifying as a solicitor in February 2011.


Diane specialises in residential and commercial property transactions including sales, purchases, new lease assignments, and re-mortgages. Diane also assists landlords and tenants with housing issues.  Diane managed the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme at Darlington County Court for 7 years.

Areas Of Interest

Diane has a background in landlord and tenant matters and has acted for a tenant in taking a high profile case to the Court of Appeal in 2012 to determine a right to occupy a property with a rent buy back agreement. Diane now concentrates more on non-contentious work. She appreciates the stress of moving house or business and tries to make this complex process as easy as possible with an emphasis on client care.
