Nicola Johnston

Professional Background

Nicola joined Clark Willis as a trainee solicitor in 2007 before qualifying in 2009. During her training Nicola practiced in Wills, Probate and Property.

Nicola works in the private client department, preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as dealing with Probate matters. At the same time, Nicola carries out the firm's commercial property work and some residential work.

Areas Of Interest

Nicola has continued to increase her knowledge and specialisms in the area of wills and probate by becoming a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). This professional association is recognised worldwide in assisting clients with inheritance and succession planning and membership ensures that Nicola maintains and develops her knowledge and skills in this area as well as keeping up to date with the latest legal developments.

Nicola particularly enjoys the private client work and assisting clients with what are often difficult times where a sensitive approach is needed. A knowledge of property law is also very useful in this area as there is often an overlap where clients need to consider their properties for estate planning or when a property forms part of an estate.
