Peter qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and joined the firm in 1995. Peter is now one of the firm’s managing partners.
Peter specialises in criminal law, particularly Court Martial matters, family law, particularly ancillary relief cases and mental health law, particularly in representing clients before Mental Health Tribunals.
Areas Of Interest
Peter is particularly interested in representing military clients in the court martial system. Peter regularly represents clients throughout the U.K and indeed abroad and as such this is not a regional area of practice. It is however a highly specialised area of practice with relatively few practitioners. Peter prides himself upon his personal commitment to each and every case and his availability and approachability out of office hours, if need be. Peter is a highly experienced and robust advocate and has a particular interest in representing clients within a court scenario.
Peter was accredited with his Higher Courts Criminal Advocacy Rights in 2010 and became a member of the Mental Health Accreditation Scheme in 2014. Peter has been a member of the Family Law Accreditation Scheme since 1999 and Peter has also been member of the Legal Aid Agency Funding and Costs Appeals Review Panel, in respect of which he acted as an independent funding adjudicator and independent costs assessor.
