Applying to Clark Willis

We never discourage any application for any position at any time, although due to the volume of applications we receive we cannot always guarantee to reply to each and every one.

If you are interested in joining our practice and would like to send to us your c.v. please email it to our Practice manager, Nichola Waugh, at n.waugh@clarkwillis.co.uk who will consider it when the next vacancy arises.

If there are no specific roles listed on this page then we have no current advertised vacancies but will always consider speculative applications from qualified applicants.

Applications from Solicitors

We are always looking for highly motivated, dynamic individuals with a passion for the law and their feet firmly on the ground. We want to recruit effective lawyers with a good track record of working in high street practice and who may have earned Law Society accreditation on one of the many panels. We also encourage applications from those professionally qualified staff who may wish to work only part time. Any application would be considered in confidence.

Work Experience

We offer a limited number of unpaid work experience placements throughout the year, providing an insight into life at a busy law firm. During a work experience placement you will meet people from across the firm and gain real hands-on experience by sampling work within the different departments.

Unfortunately we do not currently have any work experience placements available for 2023.

Training Contracts

The firm is authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as a training establishment and we are always looking to attract new talent both in a professional capacity and a support role. Unfortunately, however, we do not currently have any positions available.

Applications from Support Staff

We value the importance of support staff who carry out a variety of different types and levels of work. Our staff deal with the transcription of dictated letters and documents, with client enquiries both in person, by email and by telephone, attend to general administration matters such as the delivery of documents, preparation of mail, data input, and attending court to assist our lawyers and barristers. If you are proficient in the use of email, internet and also able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and have had previous experience of working within a legal practice, this would be an advantage when applying. The firm uses an electronic digital dictation system upon which a successful applicant will be given training. We are always happy to accept applications for support staff, and if we have no current vacancies we will keep your application on file for a period of 3 months so that if a vacancy should arise we can consider you. We also encourage applications from those who may wish to work only part time. Any application would be considered in confidence.
